Modere Helps Another Great Athlete - Next Level Fundraising

SPONSORED ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT – DAMIAN FARINOLA
We’re equal parts fond and supportive of our sponsored athletes here at Modere. Recently tennis player Damian Farinola returned to Australia after a four year tennis scholarship in the USA. Damian took the time to reflect on his time overseas and let us know what’s ahead.
I graduated from the University of Louisiana in March 2015. During my 5 years (2010-2015) I completed a double major in Accounting and Management. Whilst being enrolled in university I was limited to only a few professional tennis events.

Despite this, I was able to achieve a world ranking of 1049 in Men’s Doubles competition. Now, my attention will turn from collegiate level of play to professional events.

‘Since graduating, I have competed professionally in the United States, Mexico, Egypt and Australia. I have gained experience playing against players ranked inside the top 300 in the world with some having played in the Australian Open.

‘My highlights, at both the college and professional level, over the last four years are:

  • College Highlights:
  • Selected on the All-Louisiana team
  • Selected multiple times on the All-Sunbelt Conference team
  • Student-Athlete of the year nominee
  • Beating multiple nationally ranked opponents
  • Achieving a world ranking of 1049 whilst a student
  • Winner 2014 team event in Sunbelt Conference championship
  • 2014 NCAA team tournament participant
  • Tennis team nationally ranked every year
  • Tennis team coming first in the Academic award for highest GPA in the conference and first among all sports at the university.

  • Professional Highlights:
  • ATP world doubles ranking 1049
  • Twice doubles finalist in Istanbul, Turkey
  • Doubles semi-finalist in Istanbul, Turkey and Manzanillo, Mexico
  • Qualified for 6 professional $10,000 future singles events (2x Turkey, 2x Egypt, 1 x U.S, 1 x Mexico)
  • Defeated numerous world ranked players in both singles and doubles play
‘I am currently in Queensland competing in Cairns. In the coming weeks I will compete individually in Toowoomba, Brisbane and Wollongong. I will then return home to play club tennis for an Adelaide team in the Men’s Asia-Pacific tennis league.

Using the Modere products I find gives me a significant advantage over my competition. Tennis is a sport with no time limit and multiple matches played each week and sometimes daily. It is important to stay physically and mentally on top of your game. I feel the products I use help me to do just that. I have been injury free and pride myself on my ability to outlast my opponents and recover quickly. I will keep you updated on all my results regularly. Thank you for your continued support.’

We are helping Orgs and Athletes and Businesses earn well needed fundraising dollars to help them reach their goals for their cause. We can help you!

Have a great day CJ Henderson Next Level Fundraising

Modere Gives Back

Modere’s Social Retail Conference wasn’t just about discussing new products and enjoying the presentations–it was also about giving back to the community.

A few weeks before the conference, those who would be attending were asked to give back to the community by bringing items like blankets, coats, shoes, and various winter items. Bins were placed throughout the Salt Palace to collect any donations.

In addition to these donations, Modere Social Marketers were rounded up for a charity event where they packed kits of their very own everyday essentials and hygiene products for The Road Home, a homeless service in Utah.
“One of our core values is compassion. We are more than just a business and we want our Social Marketers to understand there’s so much to be grateful for,”

Justin Serra said.

“There are so many people who miss out on the basic amenities of life. Our product kits provided a few of those items. To many of us, these are everyday things. To others, they are luxuries.”

Both Social Marketers and Modere staff assembled and filled 300 bags.

The bags included Modere products like shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, and mouthwash—just a few clean essentials every person deserves to have. Monetary donations were also made by several members of the event.

Summer Ideas For Fundraising Lots Of Planning Or Up & Running In Minutes? You Choose...

Over the past few months we have been dealing with lots of sports people and people in kids clubs showing the easy 1- 2- 3 process for our Give To Get Fundraising Campaign.  What we have found is a few of the Orgs that we spoke to did not think about what we had to offer at all until they started looking at outlay for some of the following event types - But eventually realized that Digital Fundraising Is Disrupting The Game!

Host A Swim-A-Thon
Talk with the pool management about hosting the event. Then, find swimmers such as the local swim team and other interested parties willing to secure pledges per lap they swim. - done a thousand times and time consuming!

Partner With Music Festivals
There are many ways that you can fund-raise at a music festival, such as having volunteers canvas the crowds, or talk with organizers about having a percentage of each ticket sale go to your cause. Both of these options are great summer fundraising ideas! - If volunteers are no motivated usually a fun thing the first hour then they become tired or you have to offer some type of incentive to keep them going and usually unsupervised!

Throw Your Own Concert
Everything from the rental space to the food and beverage permits will need to be worked out beforehand, but if you play your cards right, you’ll raise money through multiple outlets including ticket and beverage sales. Again lots of time - council permits - long term planning .....

Plan an Outdoor Movie Night
For a relaxing summer fundraising idea, try hosting an outdoor movie night at a local park. You’ll need a permit, projector, large white sheet/projector screen, sound system, food, and beverages. If you don’t have access to this equipment, there are companies out there that specialize in outdoor movie equipment rentals. - Permits - sound people - screen - food & beverages and a good movie LOL lots of time planning and let's hope the weather holds up!

Cook Up A Barbecue
Talk with a local barbecue or other casual food operation about sponsoring an event where all proceeds from food sales go to your cause. Better yet, plan your own barbecue event, and make it competitive. Have people sign up to bring in their best smoked meats, recruit a local celebrity or two to judge, and crown a winner. Some of the best summer fundraising ideas involve food! Great but weather plays a large roll and buying or getting people to bring food and raise money in some cities you still need to get permits for selling or handling food it's always a process...

THE SMART SOLUTION
Our Give To Get Fundraising Program
  1. Can be up and running in minutes
  2. Low cost startup
  3. Not bound by weather conditions
  4. Can be run 24/7
  5. Contributors can be in other states - cities or countries
  6. Everyone in the community can participate
  7. Young people and older alike have access for sharing the service right on their mobile devices.

Modere & Sports A Great Fit

   INTERVIEW WITH GLENN RYPP
Recently we had the pleasure of taking five for a down to earth chat with one of our sponsored athletes and proud Modere Ambassador, Glenn Rypp about his latest trials and tribulations, including his heartbreak of just missing out on selection for the Rio Olympics Kayaking team. But for Glenn, it’s been almost bitter sweet…
Modere: So Glenn, it’s been a while since we last caught up. What’s been happening, champ?
Glenn: Yeah, I know! Firstly allow me to apologise for not touching base sooner. I guess I’ve just been so focused on competing, and well, I’ve been eating, sleeping, training and talking Olympics for a long time! It just consumes you as an athlete.

Modere: It’s totally fine. Like we know what it’s like! Clearly you’ve been busy catching your breath. So maybe you can give our readers an idea of what a year in the life of Glenn Rypp is like…

Glenn: Well so far the 2015/2016 event calendar has been my biggest year of training and racing to date. I’ll give you a quick rundown of what I’ve achieved. Ready?

Modere: Yep.

Glenn: Set?

Modere: Yep. Go Glenn!

Glenn: So it was a massive season in total and I ended up earning the following results in the Open Men’s comp.
  • 1st place and new course record for the Murray 200km kayak race
  • 1st for the South Australian Kayak Marathon Championships for K1 and K2
  • Overall winner for the South Australian Ocean Racing Series Championship 2015/2016
  • Represented South Australia in the national state vs state (each state gets 2 surf ski representatives) for Single Surf Ski, and I came 5th
  • 1st place in all South Australian state regattas for the K1 1000m races
  • 3rd in the K4 1000m National Event 1
  • 4 x Gold and 3 x Silver medals at the South Australian State Surf Life Saving Championships
  • 1st in the Single Ski for the South Australian Surf Life Saving State Championships (1st for 2 years in a row for Open)
  • 1st in the K1 1000m South Australian Sprint Kayak State Championships (1st for 5 years in a row for Open)
  • 3rd in the Australian National Marathon Championships
  • Awarded the Ski Award 2015/2016 for West Beach.
And to top it all off – in my break I competed in a Spartan obstacle course competition where you aim to get the fastest possible time over the weekend in a short course of obstacles. I managed to take out 1st place against some the best in that kind of racing. So yeah it’s been pretty hectic!

Modere: And you have time to study and work in amongst those events!? What are you, one of the X-Men?

Glenn: Haha! Not really. When you’re that focused, time just flies by and all of a sudden you’re competing at a new event and then the Olympic trials come and go, and while the rest of the Australian Team are getting excited to compete in Rio, I’m simply coming to terms with missing out on a seat on that plane! But, that’s life I guess.
If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. I have definitely had some emotional moments because I really did give it my best shot. I probably spent approximately 15-20 hours a week training for 50 weeks a year for the last 4 years, so yeah, when you reflect on all of the hard work and pushing through pain barriers etc. etc. it can take its toll. I really did put everything on the line and gave it my best, so to miss out is hard to come to terms with. Having just said that, I have however taken away some positive lessons to make sure I continue to grow and develop as an athlete. In fact, with this new mindset − I’m actually looking forward to the next four years of training and racing because towards the end of that four year cycle I will be at my peak racing age which will mean I’ll have a better shot at making the following Olympics team. So my dream isn’t over yet!

Modere: That’s a really great attitude considering how disappointed you must feel. We’ll definitely be behind you for the next 4 years. After all, we’re your biggest fans!

Glenn: Ohh shucks! Thanks. You guys have always been great supporters of mine and I cannot thank you enough for the support. Without that support I just don’t know how I would be able to juggle my busy life and compete at this level! After having spoken to other athletes, I really feel like I have a special relationship with Modere, because you genuinely care about my wellbeing and not just my performances. That really means a lot!

Modere: Could you please pass the tissues, Glenn?

Glenn: Sure, here you go! Seriously, I absolutely love being part of a company that almost feels like another family to me! Having you and everyone at Modere backing me every step of the way is always an amazing motivator for me. I can’t thank you enough!

Modere: Stop it! It’s our absolute pleasure, young man. Keep up the great work and best of luck with the remainder of your studies. Something tells us this isn’t the last we’ve heard of Glenn Rypp…

Glenn: You know it!

Keeping Contributors Engaged & Active = $$$$$$ For Your Cause!

Let's face it the best way to keep on going funds happening for any cause is to come up with a system that gets contributors involved without feeling like they are focused on your cause.  What I mean is our Give To Get fundraising system is Disruptive.  We are changing the way contributors get involved and the way fundraising Orgs raise money ongoing.

By getting contributors to buy products that they already buy everyday and encourage them to switch brands to Modere where the products or free from harmful ingredients and good for their families, it becomes a win/win for everyone involved.

Once your contributors understand the value in our clean and safe products they will start sharing it with their friends and families and earn rewards for doing so.  The more people they share with the better for your cause.

The other outstanding benefit is that your contributors and be in other cities and other countries - they can order and share 24/7 so there is no limit on time.  Also there is no limit on the number of contributors you can have supporting your cause, this service will pay every-time they order forever.

If you are ready to try a disruptive way of raising funds then contact me and lets talk about getting you or your org set up to start receiving ongoing revenue.  I have made this my cause in life as we have found a unique - new model that all kinds of individuals and orgs can leverage to build ongoing funds forever.

Raising Funds For Athletics Clubs Our Give To Get Plan Is AWESOME!!

As a coach for a junior team we had all kinds of fees that moms and dads hat to pay monthly to keep their kids on the roster and while fees were necessary for admin and paying me to coach and getting private gym time you have to feel for parents that have 2 or more kids playing a number of sports year round.

Well for the basketball team that I coached we came up with an idea of using our Give To Get program to help raise money for the clubs new uniforms.

Now before you go and say but they are still spending money on the program to help raise funds for the uniforms let's compare the 3 options the old way and the new way using our Give To Get:

Option 1 - The old way - we found out the cost of the uniforms and then divided it up among the team and that gave you the total we would expect from each parent.  Now yes we got a discount but if uniforms were $65 per kid and you had 2 kids that is $130.00 you would pay and that is it you kids get their uniforms.  This system just drains families that could be putting this money to more important things at home.

Option 2 - Here in Australia they call it a Sausage Sizzle - where you get with a local hardware shop and you buy the food and drinks needed for the afternoon and sell to the customers that visit the outlet and you get **The parents and kids to also come and help out and eat as well and raise money for the uniforms.  This is great and it works but lots of outlay - lots of man hours for volunteers that don't get paid for helping and cleanup etc that comes with it.

Option 3 - The Give To Get Fundraising Service we created leveraging the Modere Comp Plan and Products.  With our service we get every member in the club together - everyone downloads the app and uses the unique promo code given to the club (Just Like Uber) - Then the club encourages all members to buy $50 worth of product to try and they receive $10 off their first order for doing so.

Now it gets even smarter - if you have a club with say 75 members and you got every member to share with 3 people that bought $50 and got $10 off their first order you would have 225 people that place a $50 order that would bring you revenue of $2,225.00 (Not Bad For Just Sharing).

Here is the most important part you can keep sharing and sharing with as many and encourage them to do the same it will keep growing and growing. Now what this means for the Club is EVERY-TIME THESE PEOPLE ORDER THE CLUB HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN MONEY FOREVER!!!
This system is built to keep giving and giving the more you share the more you can earn - We love this because of a few good reasons:

  1. Low cost set up under $65 dollars globally
  2. Earn Money Every Month Forever
  3. Moms love it because their families are using great products that are free from harmful ingredients.  NOTE - The beauty of this is our products are products that people buy everyday except ours are without bad ingredients! So all everyone is doing is changing where they buy!
  4. No Running Around
  5. Everyone Can Do It
  6. No Limit On Customers Buying Product
  7. Anyone That Supports Your Cause As A Product User Will Qualify In Our Monthly Modere Experiences - Where we give one lucky shopper a great reward like - Skydiving - Trip for 2 VIP - VIP concert or sporting events for 2 - VIP gym membership - Get papered for 6 months & more just for trying our product and for leaving reviews customers earn reward points.
  8. They also get rewarded for sharing with friends - we send specials or discounts to them and on special days like birthdays and more on your behalf.
As you can see the pro's definitely outweigh the con's - When you look at what we can offer it's a no brainier that many businesses and clubs also churches should be looking at alternative ways to raise funds that are not only for 1 time or 1 event but ongoing, that is real power - helping people Live Clean and raising funds for doing so.

If you like what you see here and would like more information then click on the Contact Me Tab fill in the form and I will personally get back to you and answer any questions.  I hope this has been useful and informative.  I really believe that we can help change the world a bit at a time by helping people Live Clean & Fundraising  For Great Causes.

For any fundraiser the cost of staff – phones – building - electricity etc. and the list goes on and on.  Then to turn around and have to spend more money on getting an event off the ground can be a costly thing.  Especially if your contributors over time have not come back or just stopped donating, for whatever reason.
